Managers Blog

Season so far:

The start of the season saw pretty much a brand new reserve team, with Jimmy Brattan as the new manager, bringing in many ex Farcet United players.

After a bad start losing their first game of the season, things picked up and so did the results with the reserves puting a winning run together up towards Christmas, most notably a win against high flying Pinchbeck with only 9 players on the field.

The New Year brought a lot of changes with Al Lenihan moving on from first team duties and Brattan making the step up a lot of reserves followed and the team was close to folding.

Thankfully Trevor Bragg took up the reigns and some talented Sunday morning regulars joined the club. Unfortunately the good run before Xmas came to a stop as the reserves struggled to find any form. A new team and new faces would always take a bit of time to gel.

Bragg at the tender age of 22 was not looking to manage full-time, David Sandford took over and things are starting to look up after a 3 -1 win against Eye Reserves and a place in the PFA Minor Cup Final.
